Woodward Financial Advisors is seeking a rising senior graduating in May 2028 to join our wealth management firm in Chapel Hill, NC for a full-time internship during Summer 2027.
This opportunity is exclusively for students entering their senior year and graduating in May 2028. Freshmen, sophomores, and students graduating after May 2028 are encouraged to explore Woodward Financial Advisors, learn more about our firm, and connect with us when they are approaching their senior year.
About the Internship
This internship is designed for a student who is seriously considering a career in financial planning and wants meaningful, hands-on experience inside an independent wealth management firm.
You’ll work alongside our team, gain exposure to the financial planning process, participate in client meeting preparation, and see firsthand what a career in an independent advisory firm looks like.
Our goal is for you to leave the summer with a much deeper understanding of the profession, meaningful experience to build upon, and a clear picture of whether financial planning is the right career path for you.
As Woodward continues to grow, we view our internship program as a potential entry point to a future career with our firm. While future employment is not guaranteed, a successful internship could lead to consideration for a full-time opportunity following graduation based on firm needs, performance, interests, and fit.
What You'll Experience
- Direct exposure to financial planning and the day-to-day operations of a wealth management firm
- Mentorship from experienced financial planning professionals
- Participation in client meeting preparation and opportunities for client meeting exposure
- Ownership of meaningful projects throughout the summer
- Collaboration across our advisory, financial planning, and client service teams
- An inside look at potential career paths within an independent RIA
